Our School Park Street School is a Voluntary Aided Primary School. There has
been a Church of England School in the village of Frogmore and Park
Street since 1831. There are seven classrooms and a spacious nursery. Outside there is an extensive playing field, bordered by the Moor Mill Conservation Area, with climbing equipment and playgrounds for play and physical education. In a corner of our grounds is the school's conservation area. There is a relaxed atmosphere where everybody is regarded as equally important and where it is recognised that we all have a role to play in maintaining the high standards, both academic and social, for which we have become known. Underlying everything done in the school is the aim to provide a caring and supportive environment, through Christian teaching and example, in which children of all abilities and aptitudes can work and play hard, reach their full potential academically, grow in independence and establish relationships which are secure, considerate, open and warm. Visitors to Park Street C of E Primary School frequently comment on the calm, well-behaved atmosphere throughout the school. We believe that children feel happy and secure in this environment, and this in turn creates the best possible attitudes to learning. Nursery pupils enter either in September (if their fourth birthday is between September and the following February) or in January (if their fourth birthday is between March and August). Reception pupils enter either in September (if their fifth birthday is between September and the following February) or in January (if their fifth birthday is between March and August). |
